Grid fees and electricity levies are not charged by the EC itself. They are shown separately on the grid operator's invoice. In the case of EEGs (local and regional), these costs are partially waived; in the case of GEAs, they are waived completely. In a BEG, the fees for grid usage and the levies are incurred in full.

Deposit
Obligation to make additional contributions
If a participant's deposit is insufficient to cover its debts in the event of non-payment, and a collection agency is unable to collect the outstanding amounts, the Statutes may provide for an obligation to make additional contributions on behalf of all members. This is to prevent the Energy Community from becoming insolvent. Each member is then obligated to pay an amount specified in the bylaws.
